Director, Infrastructure and end-user IT
Accountor Group is building a brand new IT Function to support the group’s growth. DIRECTOR, INFRASTRUCTURE AND END-USER IT
Your main area of responsibility will be global IT-infrastructure and End-user IT. Your goal is to create a strategy for infrastructure, cloud computing and IT operations and implement it to enable a sustainable growth and profitability and create a business-oriented culture driven by continual service improvement techniques. You know you have succeeded when a productive IT Infrastructure and office IT environment have been created, internal resources and external vendors are used efficiently and IT infrastructure has been delivered according to the budget with associated SLA. You will report to the Group CIO.
You will co-operate daily both with your team members from the Group IT function and with different stakeholders inside the Group and external service providers. An important part of your job is change management – you will influence and consult different stakeholders in matters concerning IT-infrastructure and operations to reach your targets. You will co-operate closely with the top management and support them in making better decisions concerning issues related to IT-infrastructure. Your tasks will for example include managing the expenditure budget for Infrastructure and End-user IT, assessment of external and internal technology capabilities required to achieve desired competitive positioning and providing direction on what emerging technologies, governance processes and performance metrics should be taken into use to ensure IT capabilities respond to the business’s needs. You will work in a dynamic environment and lead several projects simultaneously under strict timelines.
To be successful in this position we see that you need to have:
- Ability to manage networks, remote workers and change
- Strong IT-project management skills
- Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline or the equivalent combination of training and experience required
- Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, principles, theories and concepts to be able to develop and deliver innovative, novel and advanced infrastructure solutions
- Experience of strategic planning, productivity and process improvement, budget and resource management
- Experience of working with internal and external auditors to ensure definition and compliance with IT controls
- Previous experience in Agile and LEAN methods is seen as an advantage
- Fluent Finnish and English, knowing other Scandinavian languages is an advantage

Your office will be located in the Group management office in the Helsinki area. The work requires occasional traveling to Accountor’s country offices (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia, and Netherlands).
